Ja'shauna L. Adams Esq.

Ja'shauna Adams is the founder and principal attorney at Adams Unity Law Firm. Ms. Adams was born and raised in Seattle, Washington, and moved to San Diego to pursue her legal career. She began her career working in a boutique law firm specializing in family law and has assisted with civil litigation matters involving property, contracts, and premise liability.

Ms. Adams values legal accessibility for all and has been awarded for her public service work in organizations such as Legal Aid, Community Law Project, and the Family Law Facilitator's Office.

Passionate about meeting the needs of her community and those she serves, Ja'shauna prides herself on providing quality service and compassion. Dependable, calm, and well spoken, Ms. Adams adds the personal touch clients deserve, approaching each new case with the attention it needs. 

Ms. Adams obtained her Juris Doctor Degree from California Western School of Law, where she was placed on the Dean’s List. While in law school she received the Student of Distinction Award for her academic excellence, leadership, and service in the community.

In 2016, she graduated cum laude from Washington State University, where she received her Bachelor of Arts in Comparative Ethnic Studies and Philosophy with a minor in Sociology. Ms. Adams's undergraduate studies allowed her to better understand structural and institutional inequality as well as human behavior. During her undergraduate education, Ms. Adams organized and participated in various social justice events with organizations such as YWCA, YMCA, Woman’s Caucus, and Black Student Union.

Ms. Adams brings her ambition for justice to Adams Unity Law Firm, ensuring that each case is handled with integrity, efficiency, and care. It is her mission to make sure clients are encouraged, empowered, and at peace throughout their experience.

Aside from serving justice, she enjoys hiking, international travel, exploring nature, and visiting museums. When not on an adventure, Ms. Adams likes researching history, singing, gathering with friends and family, and martial arts, as she has a background in wrestling and boxing. Ms. Adams is also a first-generation attorney and enjoys providing mentorship to students from marginalized communities.
